  1. Fear that a key employee might leave, and that their business might be ruined as a result.
  1. Never feel that they are held hostage by an employee.

  1. Pay production employees by the hour.
  1. Pay production employees on a flat rate system.
  1. Hire too many people.
  1. Hire just enough people, and make sure every employee is extremely efficient.
